Pros & Cons
Pros
Dashi for udon noodles and tomato sauce for pizza. Heats up evenly. Great with one there is no spilling when pouring liquids with the 5 ply like there is with the 3 ply.
Cons
The lid is thin and tinny. Tapping a measuring spoon on the ledge of the pan twice to get the measurement out of the pot now has a sharpjagged edge to it. The pan is extremely heavy as well.
All-clad has the worst customer service and warranty. Sad to see the all- clad quality degrade.
I am thankful that they honored their warranty however. Their customer service people are not very welcoming on the phone, and their warranty process is stressful.
Highlights
Quality
Washes up easy and is well made.
Good size, good heat conduction, easy to clean.
If i can stir a pan of bubbling risotto for 45-50 minutes without the threat of burns from the handle over an open flame, i call that good.
I bought this sauce pan to made fudge, no bake cookies and to make jam in.
Price
This is the best saucepan for the money.
This was expensive but so worth it.
They are expensive but i think they are actually worth the price.
Competitiveness
I bought the d3 tall and narrow because there is less splashover and it's easy for me to use.
