Pros & Cons
Pros
Lids fit snugly like a glove. Perfect size for sauces, oatmeal, rice, even a small double boiler.
It heats well and evenly. It is sturdy and cleans up easily and doesn't discolor.
All-clad d3 cookware is great. The sticking is not so bad in these pans, similar to other stainless steel pans. The stainless pans are beautiful as a bonus!
Handles are solidly attached. Nothing flimsy about these. They seem satisfactory to me.
Cons
The rim of the pan is not sealed and rounded to aid in pouring. This also allows nicks in the rim if you tap your spoon along the rim to clean off spoon. Also, there was a jagged edge on the lid.
They are clad in aluminum.
Highlights
Quality
) i’ve used hand me downs for 10 years and i’m so glad i did because the difference in quality is amazing.
I'm happy with the purchase, size, and option.
I’m glad we went with the d3 instead of d5.
Competitiveness
Not the case with my beloved all-clad.
I recently got rid of all my teflon-type cookware and am replacing with all-clad d3.
Other than that, this cookware is great, i have many all-clad pieces.

Hes revealed to me that on numerous occasions it has sat on a burner for up to a half hour without a drop of liquid in it just cooking away

I was obviously surprised because if you do that on any other type of cookware youll ruin it

I havent had it very long so i dont know if it is going to rust as others have reported

I agree with at least one other reviewer that the handle is overly long and has an odd shape that makes it hard to grip

The top edge of the pot is kind of plain and ugly
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
It is not rounded and there is also no pour spout so in contrast to my former little saucepan when i pour water into a cup for tea water sloshes all over the counter

I think a more gracefully designed top edge would have been good if a pour spout was not feasible
