I wanted to preserve it so asked my wife not to put it in the dishwasher as i read that could cause problems i usually hand wash all our pots

But i will give it 2 stars because in my opinion you should instead buy the same pot from allclad but with a different finish that stands up better

This pot arrived with a beautiful brushed metal finish
