Pros & Cons
Pros
It heats at least 3x faster than our previous analon 12” non stick nouvelle. Perfect for sausage (2-3 patties) or bacon (3 strips, cut in half) it's heavy, and due to that, it heats incredibly well.
Every kitchen needs a good non-stick skillet. The brushed stainless is very attractive, the perfect edge, the polished handle. This pan has a new non- stick lining that is so much better than the identical 15 year old pan i discarded.
This pan meets all of my exceptions and i am pleased with its performance. Overall i am pleasantly surprised that this classic pan is now even better. This one fits that role!
Cons
Most expensive pan i own, and the most useless. A warranty is meaningless if a company puts warranty support way down their list.
Highlights
Quality
As usual, the quality of any non-stick pan is determined by whether or not it still functions as a non-stick pan in a few years from now.
There are certainly less expensive skillets out there, but all-clad usually gets my dollars because their product quality is excellent.
Like any quality large pan, it is heavy.
You know it is quality when it is so heavy.
Price
Don't let the price scare you off, you get what you pay for.
Packaging/appearance
All-clad pans need a non stick coating.
Competitiveness
It heats at least 3x faster than our previous analon 12” non stick nouvelle which has smaller base contact area.
I own all-clad pans that i've had for 25 years.
