Pros & Cons

Pros

The egg test isn't the be-all-end-all of tests, it's easy to cook eggs non-stick on most surfaces so long as you have proper heat and oil. Cooked the bacon, no burn spots on the pan. It is oven safe, so you can go stove to oven with it easily.

It is very sturdy with some heft to it. The only thing i don't love about this pan is that the handle weights almost as much as the rest of the pan, so it's a little tippy when empty.

Cons

This is either a knockoff or all clad is now making completely inferior products. Their customer service people are not very welcoming on the phone, and their warranty process is stressful. Doesnt have even heat.

After two uses this pan has scratches (from a kitchen spoon) and discoloration. Did not look like it has been sanded. Took me half an hour of scrubbing with vinegar to make a dent in those stains.

My recent purchase of that pan was $215.

I waited a year to buy it because it was expensive.

Competitiveness

We have some even more expensive cookware which would not be a fair comparison.

No different than when you have that favorite pair of expensive jeans that you *could* put in the dryer, but don't.
