Pros & Cons
Pros
The pan has a groove on the bottom which fits between your first and second finger. The opposite hand grab is quite handy for a 3 quart-full pot. The only downside is that the lid handle gets quite hot.
All-clad cookware is design for professional restaurant use where a pan may get used, cleaned, and used again multiple times every day. It pairs well with a 1qt and larger dutch ovens for bigger batches.
My induction cooktop is very good at providing even heat across the whole bottom of the pan. I like that the heat conductive core goes up the sides. Heat distribution is better than most and it cleans up nice.
Clean weekly with barkeepers friend. The only thing i caution users about is not to use too firm a sponge or scouring pad, as the surface can scuff if too much pressure is used.
D5 is just a little more even and a bit more responsive. Heavier than expected but having two handles offsets that. The newer line has a pouring lip which is awesome.
Cons
And the craziest part is that i called them, and they said their lids aren't covered under warranty. Bummed as i love their other pieces - but really bummed to learn how poor their service is.

Shipping
It did not disappoint when it arrived.
Competitiveness
While american’s test kitchen doesn’t believe that d5 adds enough value over d3, i do.
I've always liked all-clad products, but have learned that there's a big difference between their various lines.
