Pros & Cons
Pros
This pan heats up fast, yet does cool down a little quicker than 5ply. It's heavy and it conducts heat really well for even browning. It sears well and can handle high and low heat with equal aplomb.
All clad d3 stainless 3qt pan is another to add to my all-clad collection. This three quart saucepan is the most fantastic pan for preparing dishes that require braising in order to release their deliciousness.
The build quality and finish on this pan is immaculate. It's absolutely fabulous and the most used pan in my collection. This pan is quality made and built for the long haul.
My only brands of cookware are lodge cast iron (have all the sizes) and stainless. I recommend this pan for anyone who loves to cook whether an expert or a beginner.
This not only cleans the gunk, it keeps steel looking shiny and works for most stains and baked-on oil messes. It's so easy to clean that i reach for it before some of my enamel-coated pans now. Very versatile and cleans easily.

Thankfully, given the price, it also cooks well.
All-clad pans are quite expensive, but in my mind they are worth it.

Calphalon does not compare to this brand; i got rid of them.
This all-clad is similar to all-clad's 12" frying pan just without the long handle.
