Pros & Cons
Pros
This works great as a roasting pan. The reason for the clad sides, as in a saucepan, is to have more even heat up the sides. The lid and pan portions fit perfectly to seal in basting juices.
Cons
This is a poorly made chinese knockoff. It certainly does not deserve the all clad name. The dimensions on the product description are completely inaccurate.
Highlights
Quality
The quality of this product is wonderful.
One will never be wrong buying all clad any product.
Also too, with the lid on this roaster ,the oven was just barely tall enough.
Unless you have a kitchen sink faucet with the high curved goose neck .
Competitiveness
So my alternative to this, and second best suggestion would be graniteware, at about 1/10th the cost.

The added weight of this roaster makes it harder to maneuver around in the oven when its full of food and the oven is small

Also the roaster takes longer to heat from the bottom because of the disk

Unless you have at least a 36 oventhis pan will be a very tight fit

I used this pan in a 30 oven and it barely fit and even then i had place the oven rack at the lowest point and i had to place the roaster on the oven rack diagonallywhich meant i had to turn the roaster diagonally the other way during the cooking process for the food to cook evenly
