Having said this, the ridged pan i purchased is solidly construction, with enough weight for even heating and cooking.

Food cooks really well in it and the build equality is durable.

Despite intense efforts, i have not been able to get the carbon buildup out of the grooves and gave up using it.

The grooves in the pan leave “grill marks” and it tastes like it was made on an outside grill.
