Pros & Cons
Pros
The fusiontec has a ceramic coating on the inside and outside. It offers a decent degree of non-stick without the downsides of teflon. The ceramic coating seems durable, and time will tell if it's durable enough.
The base is perfectly flat and the pot heats up fast. The handles are solidly bolted but do conduct heat. The lid fits snug and has a small vent hole.
This pot is stunning. It is made stunningly well. Everybody is jealous of my pot.
The all-clad fusiontec natural ceramic with steel core soup pot is absolutely beautiful and durable for cooking. Made in germany, this 7 quart fusiontec stockpot has a ceramic coating inside and out over a steel core and it includes a stainless steel ... Read More
I love my other all-clad ware and this is a fine addition. Some of directions in the included pamphlet are a bit different. You know about what cladding is, for example, and what ‘all clad’ means.
Highlights
Quality
This is probably the best made pot i've ever had.
The pot browns ingredients very well and does a great job of even heat conduction.
I think it is strange to offer a lifetime warranty on a nonstick pan, but they did, and then they backed out.
The lid is a brushed steel with a single exhaust hole near the rim.
Price
The price is steep, but this is one of those pots which should last a lifetime.
Pricey as all-clad is, you are getting a fantastic, beautiful, quality piece of fine cookware with this stockpot.
Expensive but absolutely top of the line.
For a pot this expensive, it should be.
Packaging/appearance
Just a beautiful looking stock pot - in fact it's so pretty i was hesitant to use it because it just looked so pretty, but than... Read More
Competitiveness
I highly suggest this, yes the price is expensive but it’s definitely superior compared to the basic pots and pans out there.
I find myself reaching for this one instead of my trusty lecreuset and that is saying a lot.
This pot reminds me a lot le creuset, i wonder if all clad is trying to capture a piece of that market.

You do have to register your pot and it does have a lifetime warranty so i am sure i will not ever be buying a new stock pot again which if you think about it that way makes the money spent on this a good value

The steel core means it doesnt necessarily heat up as quickly as an aluminum core pot but once it gets up to temp it maintains the temp considerably better
