Pros & Cons
Pros
The weight and the non-pivoting head make this razor great to use. For a good grip, i prefer the black rubberized bump-fighter handle. Nice chrome finish, seems that it'll be durable.
The taconic system delivers a good shave at a bargain price! I am completely satisfied and find the shave satisfyingly close and easy to control around my beard and mustache. More blades isn't necessarily better, and the trac ii still gives a great sh... Read More
Trac ii cartridges fit nice and snugly. Persona blade refills are actually good quality. The blade cartridges that came with the razor work great.
Cons
As configured, it is not good. Another issue, the trac-2 style blade is very shallow.
Who needs a razor that is beautiful and well made if you can't predictably keep it securely in your hand? I keep my razor on a suction cup razor holder and this fell off the first night. Blades will not stay on, they slip off either end persistently.
The biggest drawback to this razor is that it doesn't have a pivoting head. There are far better (and cheaper) true trac ii replicas out there. Maybe i misunderstand meaning of compatible but my gillette blades do not fit this razor.
The head causes the blades to clog and then the blade stops cutting. That means it clogs instantly. The chrome is so smooth it becomes unsafe to shave with when wet.
