This is our second fire tablet as our youngest is old enough to properly use it. I can monitor and approve apps and use, set goals, the graphics are great and there's a good variety of items in the store.

Unfortunately the eldest did something to damage the screen two days after opening it.

We were shocked to have the amazon rep tell us that we can keep the broken one and a new one was going to be sent out at no cost.

We contacted amazon about the issue and wanted to get a replacement as it was still under warranty

They need the password to turn the wifi back on of course but there is no way to set a lock or control on the settings bar or on disabling the wifi

I called amazon about it and they said it wasnt designed as part of the controls and would add it to the developers queue

So until then im back to timers and putting away the tablets instead of knowing the parental controls are doing what theyre supposed to
