Pros
The 4k max is very fast and with 16 gb memory is way better than the older generation. I’m really happy with how fast it loads up & plays movies, live tv etc. All 7 have black boxes now. Top-notch features in its app contents.

Cons
The remote is way too sensitive. Touching one of the up or down areas on the circle clicker thing causes it to jump very erratically. This randomly reboots or just turns itself off with no discernable pattern.

However i bought this for the ability for side loading apps but but i heard on youtube that amazon will change the os system to their new vega operating system which might not have side loading apps and cannot install third party apps on the stick anymore

Prior to purchase i had mouse clicked the checkmark to tie my amazon account to my fire tv stick 4k max but that didnt happen when i received it

The usb cable used to power the fire stick was a bit short so i used a short 6ft power extension cable from the wall to the fire stick

However i still need my normal tv remote control when i want to switch over to watching overtheair antenna channels
