Pros & Cons
Pros
Plugging in an appletv 4k (2nd gen), it reproduces hdr and dolby vision content seemingly well (i'm no expert and have very little to reference for testing) it gets very bright and sdr content looks great. It has so many options to enhance your pictur... Read More
This tv is 100% worth every penny i paid and honestly it wasn't that many pennies! I hope they keep making the fire tv. Now have 3 of them floating around the house.
Cons
At the top edge of the screen there is over 20 white spots that are constantly flickering. The * are terrible on the hisense and the picture looks almost grainy when compared to the sharp crisp picture of the samsung. It says it has 4k but will not us... Read More
The set is worthless once they’ve infected it. This tv is junk! Not worth it. Instead of going through the excessively large list of things that's wrong with this tv, i'll just go with the things that are it's cheap.
Constantly have to hard reboot the tv just to get apps to load properly. Turn tv off and on again. Data collection/spying is opt out. We use an app for our other tvs and those work 99% of the time.
Trying to get to a certain button and it just freezes. Try hard resetting remote. Also has problems connecting bluetooth.
Highlights
Quality
Nice quality, works great with apps and alexa
The 4k uhd resolution, paired with 600 nits of brightness and dolby vision hdr 10+, makes every scene incredibly lifelike.
The hisense firetv itself doesn't display this behavior.
The screen looks great, but it can't rescue 360-resolutions at all, and only manages to rescue 480-resolutions if the source ma... Read More
Price
This is a very nice tv for a very good price.
For the price and brightness (nit) you cannot go wrong.
Great value for the money, especially if you can catch it on sale (we caught it when it was $300).
At that price i couldn’t pass up upgrading my main tv to this beautiful 58 inch tv.
Competitiveness
Having all of my favorite streaming apps like netflix, hulu, prime video, and disney+ in one place is incredibly convenient.
No difference than the 'other' big brand.
All of these bugs seem to be with the firetvbox and not the hisense firetv itself.
I wanted an 86" hisense with the same number of mini-led dimming zones but as i had not saw a mini-led in person before and non... Read More

I wanted an 8634 hisense with the same number of miniled dimming zones but as i had not saw a miniled in person before and none were available locally to see i decided to try out a 7534 miniled of the same model as the price was more than 50 less

The screen looks great but it cant rescue 360resolutions at all and only manages to rescue 480resolutions if the source material is impeccable

As there is so much old 480i480p source material that will never be duplicated with modern shows it was a bit of relief to see pink panther and other old cartoon look so good on that big of a screen

At times the higher claimed resolutions like 720p and 1080p are dubious if they really are at the claimed resolution but thats on the streaming provider youtube tubi and too many more to shake a stick at

So far all 2160p resolution shows have looked quite often like you are looking through a glass window

There are some things when you see shows on such a big clear screen that expose some of the old tricks of professional film making that you never noticed on a 1034 to 2734 crt screens of the 60s and 70s
