Pros

It clears up for the remainder of the recording. The audio and clarity of the video is completely perfect.

Easy to install and set up. There is a screw at the bottom which secures the silver cover. The usb port is at the top of the battery.

The ring is wireless, so it can roam freely on your front porch. Motion detection alerts you promptly to any activity around your doorstep. Alexa lets you talk to someone at your frontdoorstep from anywhere in the world.

Cons

Motion detection often picks up false motion. On sunny days it detects cars on a street 30' away, while missing everything in front of it. It takes 3 times to connect to live video and usually when it detects something in the zone the object is almost... Read More

Motion detection on the battery models is abhorrent. Another qualm is the app design. Ring is the brand people think of and recommend, yet seems horribly underwhelming.

The solar charger does not work with it. Even though there's power and it rings the connected chime, this doesn't power the device or charge the battery. I've tried to reconnect the device but not been successful.

Ring" is one of the nastiest customer service groups i've run into. Spent a half hour trying to access the account. Troubleshooting through the app and nothing. Had to send picture of defective device not working.

Why are the screw diameter and length so small. I was forced to buy a straight plate for a ripoff $20. Just like the last badly designed product.

Device doesn’t even recognize the battery is fully charged and won’t respond to setting it up.

The peephole cam was spotty, missed alot of motion activity, strangely.

I got this doorbell plus model used at a pretty good price.

Having said that, there is no way i’m gonna pay more than $100 for something like this.

These things are overpriced at the regular price.
