Pros

The picture quality of the 1080p camera is pretty impressive, as is the dynamic range and low-light capability. They are very good at capturing motion and the picture quality if very good. Having the privacy door is a bonus!

The motion sensor is spot on and if it’s your first time signing up for ring they give you the first 30 days of recordings for free. The app is excellent and easy to use.

The sound quality is amazing. Amazingly quick and easy set up. Definitely recommend. It arrived on time and in good shape.

Cons

After scouring the ring app and website, it appears that they have made a recent change eliminating the functionality of the button unless you purchase a data storage plan. The ring app is not compatible with my phone!

It only does motion detection. It defeats the purpose of having them. It basically eliminates the ability to turn the tracking on or off. They say - too bad, as long as it's it's online and capturing events we don't care if it alerts you or not.

Price

Watch out for ring promotions from time to time as i did, and i bought this at $40, not a bad deal at all.

Also, at $60 (at least that's what it was when i purchased it), it won't be a budget buster compared to the added security you get.

You do need to pay for the yearly subscription to save your videos but i think the price isn't terrible.

Not as convenient as the wireless version, but that’s reflected in the price.
