The sizing is not the issue. The part surrounding your ankle has too much 'excess' of leather. The latter allows much creasing on the sides so that it looks like your ankle is a. I intend to exchange them until i get a pair that is satisfactory.

The presumption was that this was a 1st quality pair of allen edmonds park avenus; they were not.

Price

So while they are expensive i knew that they would fit, look great and be part of my wardrobe for a long time.

Amazon had the best price on my size at the time, and that was worth every penny as an investment into a shoe i plan to wear a long time.

Relatively pricey, perhaps, but an exceptional value.

Packaging/appearance

The pair i received were in perfect condition.

These shoes were just wrapped in tissue paper, loose inside the shipping box.

Despite the scuffing and scratches due to poor packing, i still would've kept these shoes, were one of them not discolored.

Right out of the box, there was an area where color was missing.

Competitiveness

Also suggest waiting for sales - asking price can go way down even on brand-new ae shoes.

Ae got this style hands down from the others.

I've got a few pairs of these and other ae's.
