Pros

Comfortable enough for street commuting, beast enough to thrash in the backcountry. Two easy opening / latching buckles and a velcro latching top. The inside padding is extremely comfortable and with the buckles i was able to adjust to allow ankle mov... Read More

These boots provide a good compromise between armor and flexibility. They fit great and i can feel the ankle support. They're comfortable and reasonably lightweight for a tall boot.

Cons

I find these very hot and overly uncomfortable. They are huge and clunky. Did all my research before buying these boots.

Great self cleaning latches and soles that offer comfort as well as good grip on trails.

The boots are very good, i ride a bmw r1100gs and r1200gsa, once gear shift lever was adjusted had no issues.

I've been in creeks, mud and rain and they do not leak.

Upper is closed by large amounts of velcro.

Price

They were half price so i scooped them up, and glad i did.

But if you are buying these for off-road adventure i would highly recommend them for their price point and protection design.

I love the buckle system on the alpinestars much better than my old vendramini boots.

I wanted these, but bought several different brands that were cheaper.
