The shaft 2 blades and 3 plates are stainless steel which you can verify with a magnet if it gets attracted to the steel while the remainder of what looks like metal seems to be chrome plated plastic and metal

I was very disappointed when i pulled it out because it didnt look like it was strong enough to grind the 2 deer i needed to grind

It was loud so i had to wear ear plugs but i figured it was because of the power behind the motor
