Pros

The shoes are a little snug around the laces/midfoot but hug the foot, well. I love the way the shoes allow the outward motion on the toe side of the foot as you walk. They are the only shoe that i’ve found to be comfortable for my slightly wider feet... Read More

Open toe box, firm heel and really comfy. They're great in the toe box as advertised. Zero drop and a wide toe box are functional features.

First impressions are great for the shoe. You won't be disappointed in these shoes. They also look great instead of like clown shoes like some others.

The minimalist sole is has just enough cushion. Plenty of room up front, zero drop, right amount of cushion. And the zero drop is excellent for my stride.

The only thing that has been a disappointment is their durability. They seem to be a tad longer than the altra one 2. Second, they're more affordable.

Cons

No pull tab makes getting the shoes on more difficult than necessary. Can't recommend for tread durability. But the quality is shoddy. Very disappointed for a shoe at this price.

So far i’ve had them for a week and i’m very pleased with initial quality and feel.

Very comfy great support and extremely lightweight

The cushioning was breaking down before the tread was done.

I purchased these and a pair of one v3s and returned the one v3s because the felt sloppy and were ugly.

Price

These are great: a lot less ugly and a very fair price point.

Quality inserts add $50 to the price but even then the solstice is not too expensive.

Competitiveness

Appearance wise, these are some of the better-looking models and color selection that altra offers.

Forget all the other name brands, altra knows running shoes!
