Pros
The heel cup & upper helps with it's stability. I also have plantar fasciitis and my foot doesn't hurt at all in these.
Shockingly lightweight without compromising a sturdiness in the sole.
I have altra escalantes that are men's us9. My superior 2s are just about worn out, so i had to get something newer.
Cons
The tread is extremely slippery. The insoles move inside the shoe!
Extremely overpriced and over rated. It's like they were made by a different company. Pretty disappointing. Pt says it's due to this shoe.

This is my first pair and i’m extremely happy.
Over all this is a quality trail shoe that i give a 9 out of 10.
I can't address wear (which has been an issue with the superior 2s).

Sheds mud well, drains quick and dries fast even while running.

Relative to the superior 2s there are only four pair of lacing holes 5 pair for the 2s and they start further from the toes
