Toe box is wide enough for metatarsals to splay. The sole allows your foot to roll off, providing even more comfort. It is sometimes referred to as turf toe as well.

This is my 4th pair from this manufacturer since i found them while travelling abroad. These are the second pair i have owned and i will be an alta customer for life.

The beefy soles feel odd, but not bad. They are soft for my really arthritic, misshapen feet. The shoe itself has some decent cusioning in the forefoot.
