Pros

Toe box on these snakes are perfect - nice and wide and cushioned. Whole toe box is roomy, the heel is tight enough so it does not slip.

This is my first time purchasing altra shoes. It’s rare that i re-purchase, but these are a keeper! The 4 is the next best thing, imo.

Cons

This pair is difficult to get a snug fit throughout the lacing system. The soles are destroyed in 3 months or less. I want to keep buying them but it feels foolish at this point.

I primarily brought them for my long runs (8-14 miles) and i have not been disappointed.

All that said, the toe box was great and the quality of the shoe, except for the sole collapse was great.

The wider toe box may make you think these shoes are too large but wear them around a bit and you’ll get comfortable with the looser fit.
