Alvada 80% merino wool hiking socks so far have been great. Also, the fact that they have some polyester and nylon seem to help with durability.

All it does is perpetuate a trope about how great these alveda socks are. Not even close to being usable for size 11. The issue is they’re not durable. These socks are not sized correctly.

This is a concern as if that thread snaps it could come unraveled and make a hole. They produce holes in the toes every singe pair. The toe to heal lengths is too short.

At most you are supposed to turn them inside out and run on warm cycles without fabric softener and/or dryer sheets.

Metalworkers (welders, grinders, blacksmiths) should look for wool clothing. Synthetic gives off a greasy smoke and leaves a ball of burnt plastic. Quite a bit of static from the wool and polyester combination.
