I tried to clean it out, but that didn't fix it, so i purchased this and have it back installed quite quickly, and set easily.
The inside was corroded and/or calcified, so the piston which adjusts the flow would stick on "cold.

When it comes to a hot shower a longterm fix is always preferable to the halfaed attempt
