Pros

I wish the water bottle pockets were a little bigger. A great buy at twice the price, imho. Very useful and versatile. Love this bag.

A roomy, well designed backpack with wide, comfortable shoulder straps. Zippers seem beefy and durable. Haven't had the first strap or buckle break on it.

Cons

Bag is too small for a pouch and too small to use for anything other than gum. Zippers are too stiff and make the bag cumbersome and rigid. The top pocket is inconvenient.

Returning this back pack. It rips along the small top pocket. They rip easily. It splits in half the capacity potential!

The mesh, after years of abuse from me, has given way and holes have formed making my water bottles fall out.

My normal work backpack's zipper broke, and i could not get it replaced for two weeks.

This one is best for the money

I am happily buying my third because i am heading to thailand shortly and want to be able to carry water bottles around with me.

Packaging/appearance

Get compliments on it looking nice and it never shows dirt cause it's black.

The shoulder straps and laptop pocket in particular were quite stiff when i first took it out of the packaging.

I have just ignored them; i pack a lunch bag separately and the water goes in there.

Competitiveness

While looking at the many options available, i saw the amazonbasics and thought it was a great deal for the size of the bag.
