It isnt universal as with the slim longhandled copper pans it only fits on the end and wiggles about a bit but on the pans it fits it is very effective

I had been using a tea towel but thats not always a feasible option particularly if you run out of clean dry ones and if i was using a gas hob would be dangerous

This silicone handle slips easily onto the handle and stays there

It does feel slightly puffy and has a little give but doesnt come off without a concerted effort

Also there is a little hole on one side where i hang this from the same hook as my pan
