Back cushions are foam and feel as if there is thin layer of down/feather wrapping it. Aniline leather lacks much of the protective coating that you find on pigmented leathers. Since there is not leather on the cushion backs, they are not reversible.

I wish the back cushion could have been in proportion to the seat cushion in size and height meaning taller at least by 5 more inches making the back cushion 21 in height

Instead the back cushion measured approximately 16 in height so to us it feels like a throw pillow in size see pic 1

Almost all leather furniture in this price range is only top grain leather on the seating areas and the rest is some sort of match split bonded or vinyl
