Pros & Cons
Pros
I generally prefer arabica beans blends since this gives a smoother, less bitter and smoother coffee. The beans are rainforrest alliance certified so both peoples rights and the forrest are treated with respect. The shelf life of the beans is what you... Read More
The flavour and taste of this blend is easily as good as the other major brands i use, but at a fraction of the cost. The coffee is fresh, grinds well and the taste is rounded and smooth. Perfect for espresso and latte.
The 2kg pack (2 packs x 1kg) lasts for weeks, making it a great option for households that consume coffee regularly. The 1kg bags are great value and keep the freshness of the coffee sealed in. The bag is foil lined with the usual pressure valve at th... Read More
Cons
This coffee has all the hallmarks of a stale coffee, it’s hard to pull a decent shot and the pucks come out wet. It tastes stale, very bitter and don't even try to make art as the crema is non existent. The beans are unevenly roasted with high caffein... Read More
Please don't be fooled. Wasted money. A total waste of money so beware it is not worth considering.
Highlights
Quality
These are good quality beans and are lovely and fresh.
It grinds well, nice and strong (you can always reduce the amount of beans if you fancy the flavour a bit lighter).
I've been a long time buyer and feel like the beans have been getting worse in quality.
I buy this coffee in bulk amounts and the last 200kg i’ve ordered every bag has been under weight.
Price
Excellent value for the price i paid.
Good value for money and really tasty.
I wait for discounts and buy in bulk.
That the price has gone up a silly amount.
Shipping
We initially had some italian coffee beans on order and one month we ran out so ordered this, have got this on 2 monthly subscr... Read More
Packaging/appearance
I definitely feel like amazon's coffee brands keep changing their bean flavours and packaging on too regular of a basis.
Competitiveness
I even think their decaff is quite nice in comparison to this.
Very pleased with this budget roast - similar / same as more expensive medium brands
I’m not a coffee snob by any means but this is on par with the super expensive tiny coffee bean bags from starbucks and costa.
