Pros & Cons
Pros
Bought to amplify my current eero system. The beacon provides better internet than my eero pods alone. All and all i'm very happy, and if you have a weak spot in your eero mesh network this is definately the solution!
Cons
This is too expensive for what it does. It is better value to get a newer gen eero 6 extender with wi-fi 6. This device wasn't competently designed and is straight up garbage.
Highlights
Quality
Simple plug and play with the eero app.
Happy with product the only negative is how expensive it is.
However, lots of content filters for the kiddies.

You can’t just place it in the room or space you’re getting a poor signal and expect the beacon to “boost” that signal

Think of it like a “chain” where the farthest point the signal can reach is your devices not a beacon or other eero

Be aware that the beacon only supports 350mbps wifi 5 while the extender supports up to 500mbps wifi 6

Doesn’t matter to me since our connection is under 300mbps and it’s only to boost wifi for internet use not local networking
