Pros

I believe it can easily cover 5000 sqft as they promised. My house is about 2200 sq feet. Our house is 4,000 sq foot all one level that goes back on the property and then we have a large outdoor area.

Eero wifi mesh system is high quality and affordable. Works for tv's, tablets, and phones. Worth every penny.

Cons

Eero is a garbage product with garbage support. I couldn't walk through a symptom and get someone to help me solve the issue. Customer service said they'd refund me less 20%.

Tplink is the only router i've ever had (and i've had more than 6) that requires you to reset my cable modem and the router - and you have to wait at least 2 minutes between attempts. Will not work with tp-link extenders or any other brand other than ... Read More

Multiple times when setting up new devices. Disconnects at least 8-10 times a day. There’s no web admin interface to log into to troubleshoot. The eero decides to randomly stop working for a few minutes every 30 minutes or so.

This is tooooo soon for a unit to be faulty. It's always the same unit that fails.

The 550mbps model was the only one with same day shipping, otherwise i would have gotten 1gbps or 1.

Competitiveness

I used it in an at&t u-verse environment…meshes via a bridge to my u-verse modem via ethernet backhaul.

Just set it up and about 2x faster than previous netgear router.
