Good for already cut food, like sandwiches, cut up salads and cereal. The bowls are the perfect size for soup and cereal, especially the size of the bowls. They wash up well and don't look like cheap plastic dishes.

They are lovely looking and of course far safer and lighter to use out on patio. The photo shows them against our cabinets, which are weathered gray.

The people that have given bad reviews need to actually pay attention to what they're buying and stop blaming others for their laziness. There are only two things that bother me minimally. They are attractive without being pretentious.

Hand wash or top rack dishwasher safe. Haven't tried it in the microwave yet. I wish they were microwaveable though.

The tuscan pattern is lovely, the color is vibrant. Nice weight & beautiful timeless pattern.
