If you are ok with the weight its a great tripod
On this tripod, with the legs fully extended and the center post down, it is 5'1 from the ground to my viewfinder.
Now, as an amazon basics product, it looks like the quality control is tighter, and it's even cheaper!
Price
This is a very well made product with a great price.
For the price (same price i paid for the last high end superstore one!
If you add the price to the equation, then it's a really good deal.
Shipping
00 shipping for two of them wasn't going to work.
Packaging/appearance
I used to have to cock the head at an angle, and even then, it eventually tore through the bag.

Not for long hikes in the mountains though however if you want to set up a camera or video camera and not worry about the wind to push it over then this is for you

The latches on the legs last about a year or two the head will loosen in 4 months easily tightened with an allen wrench but after 2 years it will be in need of lubrication i was unable to properly lubricate it with oilthe most annoying thing are the spikes in the rubber feet if youre not careful they can protrude and scratch a hardwood floor

I would have given it 5 stars because it is so heavy duty and easy to use and far beyond what i expected for this kind of money but on of leg fasteners had a problem and would not stay secure

It had been mounted incorrectly at the factory and had to remove it and reposition the screws

I have some dexterity problems so the screw on can be a little tough but that is purely because of my hand disabilities which is the very reason i didnt want to be switching them from one camera to another

Only concerns are that the ball head does not support your camera if you have medium size zoom lenses
