Pros
This is exactly what was needed, and easy to install. Don't hesitate and buy confidently this one will do the trick.
The price was right, the qua;ity is great. Fixed the problem. Great price. Needless to say, this cord is much superior.
Cons
It doesn't even fit in my soundbar digit optical audio connector! It only works occasionally. I can only conclude something must have gone wrong internally with this cable. Purchased another cable after returning this and had zero issues.

My old optical cables little clips werent holding the cable aligned properly in the port so got this one to replace it

In order to be automatically connected it should be called connected either hdmi or optical

Not sure if fire tv socket does not fit well with is or if this does not fit well with the socket
