Works flawlessly for me. Bought two no problems so far been using daily for two tablets on a kitchen floor.
This is something of a rarity - most short usb to usb c cables are not capable of the speeds that usb-3 provides. Works on my laptop and my desktop with quest.
This one is very good & charges quickly. Works with my samsung fast charger ok on galaxy s10. Very pleased charged phone no problem.

Cons
The cable continues to charge (slowly) however the fast charging facility for samsung products no longer works. Does not fit all type c sockets. Very stiff. Perhaps to tie my bicycle to a lamp post.

The reason of course for the thicker cable is better shielding and thicker wires but these amazonbasics cables have returned almost identical crystaldisk marks on the same drives enclosures as the cables supplied originally with the enclosure
