They are very sturdy. The rubber coating helps protect the tools and keeps a grip on them.

These are heavier and thicker than i expected. The hooks also have a layer of padding to prevent your gear from getting scratched.

I appreciate the solid flat base and i really like the cushiony coating on the bars, which helps hold onto things.

I love having it up and out of the way.

I used them to hang a wall of dumbbells up to 15lbs.

As for “heavy-duty,” i’m not sure that’s 50 pounds.

I'd say they would hold 50lb or so as long as you put them in a stud.
