It interferes with both my cameras battery cover

However that same slippery nature applies to the part that attaches the strap to your camera

In addition it can restrict movement of the hand especially if your shutter button is higher on the camera body

Installing this strap would have made it impossible to hold my camera in the vertical position using the grip and i would have had to remove my arca swiss plate
