Fyi if you desire to fill the corners of your pillow covers completely you should switch to a 24x24 cover

Yes the pillows are flat when they arrive

However if you read the directions that come with the pillows they clearly state to leave the pillows unzipped and exposed to room temperature air for 48 hours
