Silver is used to purify water and cure or prevent disease. My only complaint is that it sometimes (30% of the time) gets dislodged from the pitcher when i refill it. Just put it in water and shook ot around.

The failure rate seems remarkably high - yet amazon keeps peddling them. Amazon needs to check its supply chain.

Filters fit the brita pitcher, but they do not filter the water. Water appears to drip more rapidly from the bottom of the filter and in larger droplets instead of the small, evenly spaced droplets produced by the filter that came with the pitcher.

The top of the filter has no feature that you can grab to pull the filter out when it is done. The water never fully drains from the top cavity. There is always about 1/2 or more of water left in the reservoir that will not go through the filter. Drai...  Read More
