This carrier is great. Only downside for me is the obnoxious amazon basics branding.

Took this on a winter trip through snow and * roads several hundred miles. Lots of rain, highway speeds for thousands of miles and intense heat. It was still tolerable at high interstate speeds.

Packed items in smallish bags, maybe 20 lb each, to get them onto the roof of the car. Was pretty easy to install. Def do-able with one person but much easier with two. Easy to clip to roof rack and cross bars.

Cons

The provided straps are not long enough to buckle inside your vehicle. Not even on the side of the zipper closure, but the other end. This bag is a nightmare to strap tightly down.

Every surface of the topper was soaked. Really disappointing for a topper advertised as completely waterproof.

Simple and easy upon arrival and departure also when we arrived home.

Packaging/appearance

I packed my things into trash bags first, to make it easier to pack and unload.

I used a 2 foot step stool, followed the instructions and packed it from both sides.

Some of the clothes that were packed (inside other duffel bags) ended up damp.

I could have packed a lot more in it, but i had to load it onto the roof myself.
