Pros & Cons
Pros
This filament is a game changer for any 3d printing enthusiast. Made by a reputable manufacturer that just happens to bear the amazon name. Used this filament on the silver parts of the lightsaber pictured.
Good smoothness, and really good color. Color is bright and has a satin sheen to it. No adhesion or layer inconsistencies.
This means those annoying boogers that screw up your first layer aren't as big of a problem.
Cons
This filament looks great when it works, but prepare for an uphill battle. The adhesion is lousy. A sure sign of moisture, despite being in a dryer box for 24+ hours.
Shame on them for banning other 3d printer manufacturers. If amazon goes to a vendor and doesn't spot check their quality, then it just becomes a waste of time for everyone when you inevitably return it.
It is super brittle, my extruder slips on it but also bites into it and mars it up so the extrusion is always variable. It comes out flaky after the first 3-5 minutes and then just jams up my nozzle. Maximum temperature is 20 degrees celsius lower tha... Read More
Highlights
Quality
It has the best sheen (shinyness) and there were no issues with print quality or splicing at default settings.
This is the best filament i have ever purchased for my ender 3 v2 neo.
My single grievance with this product is that the last spool i purchased had a backlash approximately halfway down the spool.
This caused my printer to stop completely, and while it was quite easy to respool the filament, i'd much rather have received i... Read More
Price
Prints as well as higher priced filaments.
Great, shiny, metallic-silk filament at a bargain price.
Keep in mind i got this on a really good sale; (like, $7-8 off.
From what i can tell it is just esun filiment but at a better price.
Packaging/appearance
Great color, was exactly what i was looking for in a zelda inspired ocarina print.
The spool came tightly sealed and wound with no tangles and printed great with no drying.
Competitiveness
I have tried several brands and the quality of this one is very good, and it is less expensive than the others i use.
Like some other reviewers though, i found this prints a bit cooler than most pla.
Can’t really ask any more than that from an amazon basics brand.
