Cons
It works for 5 minutes and then packet drops. Unplug and plug back in works for another 5 minutes. Did not work for my 2021 macbook pro.

Tested the internet speed test with wifi on and then turned off with the adapter inserted.
They just had me reboot the laptop with the adapter connected - i feel slightly stupid that i didn't try that myself.
Competitiveness
It's based on a realtek gigabit chipset and is automatically recognized in windows 10.
Sometimes it's not worth taking a risk on a lower priced product.
I bought this for a lenovo laptop and it works there perfectly but when i tried it on my 2 x99 desktops with asmedia 3.

It does not work for the fire hd8 i bought from amazon but everything else works fine
