Pros

The material is sturdy and should last you a long time. The cable feels sturdy without being overly thick so it still winds up into a smallish loop when storing it.

It's long enough for my wife to use her phone while it's charging, but not excessively long where it is a pain to store away. Cord appears sturdy and thick so doesn't seem like it will quickly fray at the edges.

Both ends of the amazon basics cable are thicker and longer than the apple cable. Being an amazon basic product is comes with no frills packaging and delivers on the promises it makes. The price is also right at $6.

Cons

This cable is finicky at best. It keeps disconnecting any time the phone moves.
