The material is soft and you can add your own blanket in it to make it a thicker cover so no it doesnt come as a thick blanket the picture of the flower is very pretty

I thought this was a comforter or blanket as it was a christmas gift but you need to add some fluff to it otherwise it looks like a flat sheet
