It is simply printed on a flat surface which i like for a dining area but i did make a mistake by leaving the vacuum on one area for too long while i used the hose attachment the roller was still running and it stripped the design

It has a slight cush to it which is nice for the feet

The other side easily flattened out after sticking a couple books on it overnight but the other side i’m still having difficulty with
