All 3 items meet or exceed expectations. This really works. It is waterproof, just throw in the washer and hang dry.

It fits perfectly and there is no odor, just a clean smell. Fits perfectly without being fitted. They fit well under the mattress (they are very wide). I have another mattress cover underneath it that covers the entire mattress and this one on top.

Cons

When you lay on the bed, the mattress pad leaves about 3 inches on either side exposing the mattress. The sides including the corners have zero reinforced support. The straps just slide right off.

The smell is so strong it permeated to the sheets and the cover. Not good with sharp kitten claws, of course.
