Pros

It is sharp and slices easily. It is very sturdy and the blades are easy to clean. I like that it can slice two different thicknesses of wedges. The blade is not too thin.

The large slice setting is great for making slices for snacking. The thinner slices are perfect for using on sandwiches. It is very easy to adjust from 8 to 16 slices.

The amco dial-a-slice adjustable apple corer is fantastic. I love that it is adjustable. Can be adjusted for 2 different widths. It has a large diameter core.

It works well but has two problembs. Works perfectly. It is awesome! Would definitely recommend this product.

After 6 mos of use it's still great. I stick the apple right on the lid, aim the tabs (i wish those weren't there, but i guess they have to be) and push. The saucer underneath works really well to push out the last little bit of the apple that is conn...  Read More

Competitiveness

The corer is a bit larger than the pampered chef model, so there are less slices with bits of core in them, which i really like!

After 10 years of often daily use the plastic finally cracked

My children prefer the smaller slices that you can make with this apple slicer

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

After slicing through the apple i have to use a knife to get the ends of the wedges to separate at the bottom of the core and fall out of the slicer

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I was skeptical that this would core the apple and also work on different settings to make the slices different sizes easily

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It does require a fair amount of strength to push through the apple

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This does not cut the apple completely through to the bottom when using the 16slice setting

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The slices will still be stuck together at the base and youll have to break them apart or poke them through the rest of the way by hand which could be tricky for some people
