For the price this camera is really good.

The amcrest 1080p webcam with microphone & privacy cover is awesome! When i’m using it for these purposes it really is a beast. I use it for work with a headset so don't need the microphone on the camera, the privacy cover is a nice addition.

Best feature is the tripod screw mount that is included on the bottom. Camera has a stand that folds over and a magnet attaches to the back of the monitor. It also has a screw hole for a tripod if you use it in that way.

Cons

Field of view is incredibly wide and also fisheye distorted. The microphone is muffled and low quality. The mic on this camera is horrible and the image quality was worse than my desktop one.

The quality is not bad, it's not 4k or anything but it's good for a webcam.

I didn't like the picture quality of the camera so well.

I don't like to cheap-out because cheap usually mean poor quality & short life-span.

The price was reasonable so i went with amcrest.

Competitiveness

My husband and i love our new amcrest 1080p webcam.

The amcrest camera performed very well against my logitech c922x pro stream web camera.

I was surprise to hear that my co-workers preferred my use of the cheaper amcrest camera over the logitech i had been using.
