Yes 1080p is good but really if you can afford it get these

They have a gasket seal to keep water out even for the sd card slot

The cameras do get warm when they are on but even in full sun it does not seem to affect them or degrade picture quality

I recommend using it where possible even if it means you have to install an extra light so the cameras get some ambient light so they can colorize the picture

Theres a decent newer model setup amcrest has out there with microphones built in to the cameras that im really loving the results of from what ive seen httpswww
