Tech suport was a hit n miss for me but overall great product.
Image quality is exactly the same as the previous dvr, but this one can record 30fps @ 1080p.
Competitiveness
Used this new one and it works like a champ.
I have 5 amcrest systems (4 ip & 1 coax).

The interface is still a little outdated but it seems like all hardwired dvrs have iffy software

The only flaw is that if you arent installing 4 cameras a hard drive before you drive its going to beep at you every 10 seconds until you can figure out where the alarm settings are to disable

I got this as an interim upgrade to an old nightowl before i replace the cameras with ip
